Favourite Song:

"And I am telling you"

From a very early age Mandy showed an enthusiasm for the Arts. Like most young girls in the 1970’s she joined dance classes and achieved examinations in all dance disciplines. As a teenager she joined a Performing Arts group, and it was here she found her passion for singing and musical theatre. Mandy has been heavily involved in amateur theatre for nearly 40 years, first as a principal dancer and later taking on roles including Sarah Brown (Guys & Dolls), Julie Jordan (Carousel), Anne Riley (42nd Street), Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), Marguerite St.Just (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Nancy (Oliver), Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Violet Newstead (Nine to Five). When not treading the boards Mandy helps direct, produce and choreograph. In 2001 Mandy founded UpStage, her aim was to motivate young people and encourage self-belief through performance. She wanted to provide a creative escape for children and adults, introducing them to the imaginative worlds of theatre, music and dance.
